Côtes Du Rhône – Plan de Dieu Henri Durieu 2019

£16.75

Henry Durieu cuvée is made from the century old (the oldest) Plan De Dieu parcels, some predating the World War I. It is named in honour of their grandfather Henri Durieu, who the Plan De Dieu vineyard originally belonged to.

Deep purple in colour, this Côtes Du Rhône cuvée offers purity and elegance, plum, peppers, spring flowers and a concentration of ripe black fruits, Mediterranean notes of black liquorice, sage and garrigue, giving it a rare suppleness and velvety texture. The old vines reflect the balance in freshness and complexity of this wine.

Neeche Notes: “Perhaps one of my favourite wines from our whole collection. For every great red brought to a dinner table, I am more than happy to raise this Henri Durieu as my offering.”
