Fezzigna Vignaioli founded in 1957 by Francesco is located in the southern Italian province of Crotone between Umbriatico and Cirò. 100 metres above sea level this vineyard benefits from not only a soil rich in mineral salts and textured sandstone but also experiences temperature swings of 20 degrees between night and day.

Having obtained Organic certification in 2015 Fezzigna is the only winery in DOC Melissa to wholly manage all stages of its wine production from vines to bottling. This also allows their artisanal methods to create red, white and rosé wines. Being able to bring you wines from such lesser known regions is one of my biggest joys and makes me most proud.

For me, though, as much as I admire their wine, the magic of Fezzigna is the sweet and loving charm of the family behind the winery. Now run by Francesco, named after his father of course, and his wife Enza you couldn’t wish to meet a more sincere and hard working couple.

True hospitality with warmth and friendliness in the only way Italians from the south know how to be. I hope that comes across when you get to taste and enjoy the wines from this small family run vineyard whose limited production is as authentic as you can get. They represent the spirit of Neeche Wines and we are honoured to represent them.
