Brother and sister duo, Marco and Marta, are the 3rd generation of the Vacca family to take up the mantle of winemakers at Cascina Albano which was founded by their grandfather Marco and their father Natale.
Nestled in the heart of Langhe on the hills of Barbaresco, the winery is named after the hill Alban, on which it sits, and means “kissed by the early sunshine”.
A short drive from the well known town of Barolo, Langhe and Roero were given Unesco world heritage status in recognition of the amazing landscapes. Cascina Albano are one of the finest winemakers to reflect and represent this beautiful Piemontese region.

To know Marco, is to know a man who bleeds wine. Having studied Viniculture and Enology, he embarked on an adventure to blend eco-friendly agriculture and oenology with a nod to modern techniques.
The pursuit of this vision has enabled him to enhance the unique character of the Langhe in his wines. Everything is done with respect to the environment in which they live and work. From guaranteeing the health of the soil by avoiding the use of pesticides, reducing sulphites and to the recycled packaging policies that they have put in place.
Be sure to check out the cute and quirky labels that Marco himself artistically designed.
