Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG 2023
£24.00
Produced along the historic wine route of Caltagirone, Cerasuolo di Vittoria is born in the Vittoria region of southeast Sicily in ancient high-altitude vineyards. Defined by the union of Frappato and Nero d’Avola, it is rich in olfactory sensations of violet, wild berries, Mediterranean scrub, and pomegranate, with an intoxicating, dense, and velvety long finish.
Grown from 4,000 high-density, spurred cordon vines with exceptionally low yields, this wine is made from organically grown grapes. The high-wire system improves airflow and sun exposure while vine competition ensures small, flavour-concentrated berries for a pure expression of the land.
