France…the spiritual home of wine? Many would suggest so and I find it hard to disagree but that is in part due to my upbringing where wine and France were synonymous. France may well be the Old Duke of European winemaking but as I began to dig deeper, I was fortunate enough to discover generation of vintners more comfortable embracing wine with a sense of fun, a more collaborative spirit and more prepared to experiment with new methods. With France, you are only ever scratching the surface but that means your search for great wine will never end.
