Chateau Beauvallon Armagnac Ténarèze VSOP

£70.00

Château Beauvallon is located on the border of the départements of Gers and Lot et Garonne, in Saint Pé Saint Simon, famous for its XIIth century fortressed church, a jewel of medieval art, in the Ténarèze region. A clay and limestone soil gives this Armagnac all the power and texture worthy of great wines.

It is elaborated in pure Gascon tradition so dear the ancestors of the land. The distillation is carried out in an Armagnac still, heated with wood, as the Gascon “bouilleurs” have always done. The translucent ‘eau de vie’ is then aged in oak barrels. It will then wait patiently, adorning itself over the years with a beautiful amber hue and exalting its vanilla, nutty and apricot aromas.

Neeche Notes: “Artisanal and yet very luxurious, when I tasted this I was enveloped in a warmth and serenity and could still detect the honey and floral aspects of the surrounding countryside. After the tasting I felt compelled to add it to our list of wines from Pountet but I also felt that it would not be a fair representation of them or the heritage of South West France to not include this gorgeous Armagnac”
