Cornelia Tessari is not just a brand. Tessari is a family. Tessari is also a part of the history of Soave, the famous wine region near Verona. The family’s story began in a small wine cellar in 1933 created by Antonio and his wife Cornelia Tessari. The winery now fittingly bears her name but it is also the name of their granddaughter, who with her brothers Antonio and Germano have taken this winery to fantastic new heights.

Along with an expanded and purpose built new facility, Cornelia has also recently opened a sumptuous new wine relax retreat called Corte Grisela on the premises. However, make no mistake, the star here is the wine and the quality of their Soave, both still and sparkling is exquisite.

The family’s Soave Classico winery uses only the Garganega grape variety from their Monteforte d’Alpone vineyards. These grapes are still carefully picked by hand, not solely for reasons of tradition or sustainability but because it also symbolises the deep bond between this land and the three generations of this family. In 2013, Tessari opted for organic farming methods out of respect for the environment and to safeguard the heritage of the winery for future generations.

You cannot underestimate the skill and technique required to create the variety of delicately crafted wines that Cornelia Tessari have been able to do with Garganega. Each one has its own character and rewards in its own way.
