The Comté Tolosan appellation is vast and includes several areas, it runs from the Atlantic coast to Les Pyrénées and up to Aveyron but is not widely used. Here at Domaine du Pountet, it is the preferred choice as there are already many Cotes de Gascogne’s. This sets Pountet apart from the rest and enables them to make wines the way that they want to make them – that is to say ‘monovarietal’.

Prima Luce is a dry white made with Gros Manseng grapes, a variety typical of Gascogne in the South of France. For this vintage, the grapes are harvested before sunrise, at the “Prima Luce”, to preserve the freshness of the grapes.

A delightful nose of gentle citrus and apricot, with notes of white flowers and spices. In the mouth, it is the grapefruit and the tangy lemony flavours that lead the way. A fine structure and perfectly balanced by its acidity and vivacity. It is a light, gourmet wine, easy to marry with white meat and seafoods.
