Marzemino has a long history. The Renaissance agronomist Agostino Gallo in a book of the 16th century explained that Monte Netto is perfect for growing Marzemino vines. Then in 2001, with the Department of Agriculture at the University of Milan, the Lazzari’s discovered the existence of the local Marzemino clones on Monte Netto.
